On Tuesday, November 4, the South Korean media outlet Star News stated that EXO's D.O. will be departing his agency, Company SooSoo, following their contract expiration. The contract reportedly ended earlier this month, and the idol has decided against his renewal with the company.
Here's what the agency stated to Star News:
"Do Kyung-soo's contract expired earlier this month. We have decided not to renew the contract."However, given that he his currently rolling out his second tour, Do It!, Company SooSoo will continue to manage and extend its support towards the idol until the tour's end. The tour holds a few more stops across Asia, which is expected to conclude on December 6 and 7 with his encore concert at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.
Additionally, the report also explained that D.O. currently stands as one of the most sought-after free agents in the industry, and therefore, he has received several offers from different management agencies. The report explained that the EXO member is currently deciding on his next label.
On the other hand, for those who are unaware, Company SooSoo is a boutique agency kick-started in November 2023 by the former management director at SM Entertainment, Nam Kyung-soo, along with EXO's D.O. Currently, Nam Kyung-soo stands as the agency's CEO. Therefore, the idol still holds 50% of the company's shares, despite his upcoming departure.
Following the agency's establishment, the idol worked under Company SooSoo for over two years for various solo activities such as solo album releases, variety show appearances, concerts, acting projects, and more. After the recent end of his relationship with Company SooSoo, fans and netizens have been eagerly looking forward to his next steps in the industry as a soloist and actor.

EXO's D.O., otherwise known as Doh Kyung-soo, is a South Korean singer and actor who made his debut under SM Entertainment in 2012 alongside his fellow K-pop boy group members. In 2014, he made his acting debut with his supporting role in the South Korean movie Cart. He continued to make more appearances in TV series and movies such as It's Okay, That's Love, Underdog, Pure Love, Be Positive, and more.
In 2016, he starred as a national Judo athlete in the film My Annoying Brother, which eventually won him the Best New Actor Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. He also continued to take up several other acting projects, such as Room No.7, 100 Days My Prince, and more. In 2019, he enlisted in the military for his mandatory service and was discharged around January 2021.
He put forth two more movies around the time of his discharge called Moon and Secret: Untold Melody. D.O. was also selected as one of the 200 actors for The Actor is Present campaign by the Korean Film Council in 2021. Around June of the same year, he made his official solo debut with the release of his first EP, Empathy, which held its lead single as Rose.
In 2022, he starred in the K-drama series, Bad Prosecutor, which won him the Top Excellence Award (Actor) at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards. In September, he released his second EP, Expectation. Around October 2023, it was announced that D.O. would be departing SM Entertainment to establish the Company SooSoo. However, his activities with EXO will continue under SM Entertainment.
In 2024, he released his third EP, Blossom, with its lead single as Mars, and also kickstarted his first concert tour, Bloom, between June and September. In July 2025, he embarked on his second concert tour in Asia, Do It!, which is expected to end in December 2025. Around July, he also put forth his first studio album, Bliss, which held a collaborative single with Zico, Sing Along!, as its title track.
