A former WWE star has said that he is ready to return to face John Cena one last time. The star is a former rival of Cena.
Baron Corbin vs John Cena?
Baron Corbin has now spoken up about wanting to return to WWE to face John Cena.
John Cena's WWE career is coming to an end withj only a few dates left before he finally winds up his career. The star is looking to bring an end to his career at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13. There is currently a tournament being hosted starting this week, where 16 different stars will be competing to face Cena in the "Last Time Is Now" Tournament.
The winner of the tournament will then get a match against the star at Saturday Night's Main Event. When this was being announced, it was also mentioned that the stars competing could be from RAW, SmackDown, NXT, or even someone who is currently not working here.
With that being the case, Baron Corbin spoke up in a recent interview on Sirius XM Busted Open with The Coach, and mentioned that he'd open to returning to be a part of the tournament to face John Cena.
"How cool would it be if I was the guy that didn't work there right now, that was in the tournament. Just the opportunity to go into it. John and I have a lot of history, from him costing me the Money in the Bank briefcase you know, our match at SummerSlam. We've wrestled a billion times. There's always a history there. Man it would be the coolest thing ever if I was one of the guys who does not work there right now but got the call to be a part of the tournament. Not to win the tournament, but let me go fight Gunther, because I've never been in the ring with him. It would be a hell of a brawl. We could beat the living sh** out of each other. It'd be really fun. It would be awesome. I would love that."Baron Corbin is not in WWE right now but could return to face John Cena
While Corbin is not a part in WWE, the star has been a top name there in the past. He was let go earlier but he has wrestled almost every top name in the company.
With the history between Cena and Corbin, it would be interesting for him to return to be a part of the tournament for one night only and give the crowd a shock as well with that moment.
It remains to be seen what happens.
