Diontae Johnson made a shocking admission about his short stint with the Baltimore Ravens.
During a recent appearance on the Sports and Suits podcast, Johnson stated that his time with the Ravens was a tough situation, and he checked out mentally.
“Baltimore, that was a tough situation for me,” Johnson said on the Sport and Suits podcast. “I love the players, I love the organization, but it wasn’t for me. Going in, I checked out mentally. I just felt like I wasn’t getting used, I don’t wanna say used as being selfish, just feeling a part of the team. I just checked out.”
Johnson had a rough 2024 campaign. The veteran receiver played for three different teams, as he was traded to the Ravens from the Carolina Panthers during the trade deadline but was waived by Baltimore in December after playing just four games with them and being suspended at one point for refusing to enter a game.
The Houston Texans were the next stop for Johnson, but he was let go by Houston after just two games. The 28-year-old ended up returning to the Ravens to end the year but never saw the field.
After a tumultuous 2024 campaign, Johnson will be looking to bounce back with the Cleveland Browns, as he signed a one-year deal with them in April. The Browns will be the third AFC North team Johnson will play for in his career, as he spent his first five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
