AC Milan is going into the Summer transfer window with a slew of things to fix at the club, after they suffered from another disappointing season, in what has been a recent downward spiral. Milan finished in fifth place, which sees them only qualify for the Europa League, which might not match the image the club once had as a perennial Champions League contender.
Following their recent lackluster performance, the Italian side would part ways with Massimiliano Allegri, leaving them searching for a new head coach ahead of their preseason camp. This search has led them to the likes of former Liverpool manager Arne Slot and ex-Manchester United manager and current Austria National Team head coach Ralf Rangnick, but it appears they've gotten the green light from another former Red Devils gaffer, Ruben Amorim.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese coach is ready to make the move to Milan, being on board with all facets discussed with the club.
This would be Amorim's first gig back in the techincal area since his rough patch with the Red Devils, leading the team in 64 games, in which they'd only managed to win 24 games, drawing 18, while losing out in 21 of them, with his time being remembered for some rather embarrassing results, including their elimination from the Carabao Cup at the hands of League Two side Grimsby Town, as well as falling short in the 2025 Europa League finals to Tottenham Hotspur.
If he is to be hired by the Italian side, it would be the fifth organization under his belt, having previously served with the aforementioned Manchester United, as well as Sporting Club de Portugal, Braga, and Casa Pia. It'd also be apparent that Amorim would be entering a club that could potentially be losing a key piece of their squad, as Rafael Leao has expressed his desire to leave the San Siro earlier in the offseason.
