By now, everyone knows that LeBron James is using a helicopter for transportation as part of his deal with Fanatics, which provides him with free rides. On media day, it was revealed that James would be flying from New York to Philadelphia after he could be heard discussing his pickup.

Not many people thought much of the helicopter rides. However, league investigator Pablo Torre has revealed that NBA owners want him to investigate the arrangement.

“Pablo Torre plans to look into LeBron James' helicopter perks from Fanatics. He shared that NBA owners contacted him about the privilege James is getting with the Sixers,” ClutchPoints posted.

This is interesting because it seems like the owners and Torre are trying to make something out of nothing. Honestly, Torre is probably still riding the high of his successful investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers and Kawhi Leonard. Torre also reported that some people believe James' decision to join the 76ers could have been influenced at Fanatics Fest.

“League sources have been wondering if former Sixers minority owner Michael Rubin flipped LeBron — convinced him to sign with the Sixers at Fanatics Fest,” Torre said.

All of this has certainly raised questions about the timing, but it can also be viewed as investigative journalism. However, former LeBron James teammate Carmelo Anthony is not happy about the owners wanting an investigation.

"I'm taking a chopper and getting from New York to Philly at six to six-thirty in the morning. So Pablo why the f**k you talking about? The owners are snitches,” Anthony said.

Anthony and James have been friends since they were drafted in the same year, so it is no surprise that Anthony is coming to his defense. Anthony has been outspoken in his criticism of the situation, making it clear that he is unhappy with both the owners' actions and Torre's investigation.

The New York Knicks legend is standing up for the four-time NBA champion. Anthony appears fed up with the entire situation and believes the owners and Torre are trying to make something out of nothing.
