Shilo Sanders provided a life update following his August release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it is in line with what his father, Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders, predicted for his son:
He’ll be moving to Los Angeles at the end of the year from Tampa, where he still has a residence, to pursue a career in show business.
“I got a spot in Tampa till December, I think. And then I need to figure out where I’mma live at. I’ve been thinking about L.A., you know, for the acting stuff and for the music stuff. You know, there’s a lot of people that do my music videos that’s coming out that I don’t know,” Shilo said on his YouTube channel.
“You always want to have other interests that you’re interested in. I’ve always done that my whole life playing football, with music, acting, modeling.
“I’m well-versed, and my parents make sure of that, so I’ve been prepared for anything that happens, cause you never know what could happen."
Coach Prime predicted a career in acting or streaming for his middle son, with an NFL career likely off the table indefinitely after an uneven preseason with the Bucs.
“I was gonna go down that (acting) avenue once upon a time. I think that’s the avenue that … or streaming … that Shilo’s gonna go down, because he has that gift, man,” Coach Prime said on Thursday’s Colorado Football Coaches Show.
Whatever is next for Shilo, he’ll have an audience. While his father’s Buffs are no longer the talk of college football, and his brother Shedeur is no longer dominating NFL offseason headlines with actual games being played and the “Grown QB” riding the pine, the Sanders name will always hold water to several generations.
