Jaylon Smith hasn't played a snap of football since Nov. 5, 2023.
That was the only game the former Cowboys second-round pick played in 2023.
He then went on to miss the entirety of 2024.
Now a free agent, Adam Schefter shared on ESPN on Friday that Smith was coming back.
Smith will be at Raiders minicamp this weekend to try and get back on an NFL active roster.
Back in 2019, Smith was a Pro Bowler, but he didn't live up to a big contract extension and was also seriously injured.

Smith had already been injury prone at Notre Dame, suffering ACL and LCL tears on Friday night.
Smith left the Cowboys in 2021, also playing parts of that season for the Packers and Giants.
He was with New York in 2022 as the Giants made the playoffs.

Smith's only game of 2023 was for the Raiders. He then spent the rest of the season on the Steelers' practice squad.
Now, Smith is trying to don the black and silver once again.
If things go well, he'll go from rookie minicamp to a full training camp invite.
If not, it might be back to the drawing board or Smith.
