Leighton Meester Reacts to Husband Adam Brody’s “Hot Rabbi” Nickname
From the Upper East Side to Orange County, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s love story has captivated fans.
While the Gossip Girl alum and The O.C. actor, who picked up his first Emmy nomination for his work in Nobody Wants This, tend to only give small glimpses into their 11-year relationship, they’ve proven why they’re a perfect match.
The couple—who have been married since 2014 and share daughter Arlo, 10, and a 5-year-old son whose name has not been publicly shared, together—seem to never miss an opportunity to gush about one another during rare outings. For instance, Adam made sure to give his wife a special shout-out in February while accepting the Critic’s Choice Award for Best Actor Comedy Series for his work in Nobody Wants This.
“My darling, darling, darling wife Leighton,” the 45-year-old said during his acceptance speech, “thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me. Thank you for our family. I love you with all my heart.”
Leighton, 39, certainly didn’t miss the opportunity to praise her husband, too.
"I'm just so so proud of him and think he deserves everything," Leighton told E! News. "I think the world of him."
Not only do Adam and Leighton star in their own projects, but they have often shared the screen together in projects like The Oranges, Single Parents and River Wild.

"I love his work and to be around him—it's very natural," the Buccaneers actress continued when asked about working alongside her husband. "It doesn't ever feel unnatural to just move our personal life onto set. We've done it many times, and I hope we get the opportunity again."
Indeed, fans don’t have to wait too long to see them together again. Leighton will be joining Adam in season two of Nobody Wants This, where she will be playing the middle school nemesis of Adam’s onscreen love interest Kristen Bell.
Adam’s on-screen sister-in-law, Jackie Tohn, has even raved about how much she loves the duo.
“They’re couple goals and beyond,” Jackie exclusively told E! News Feb. 24 at Cure Addiction Now's Inaugural Fundraising Evening. “Adam, he’s just an incredible guy.”
And though she had only recently had the pleasure of meeting Leighton, Jackie immediately took a liking to the 38-year-old.
“I only met her through Adam when we started shooting,” she explained, “and she is—she’s like a salt of the Earth, she’s as funny as she is pretty and you’re like, ‘Oh that’s annoying, ugh.’ She’s great.”
