Actress Patricia Heaton, who was in New York City during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, joined families of the victims in calling for Mayor Zohran Mamdani to be banned from the 25th anniversary at Ground Zero.
The “Everybody Loves Raymond” star, 68, backed the petition organized by families of 9/11 victims, which has amassed almost 45,000 signatures as of Wednesday, to her more than 500,000 followers on X.
“Keep it going New Yorkers,” the conservative actress applauded on Monday, while reposting the Change.org petition link.
Heaton’s post included a screenshot of a comment left on the petition by a family member who lost their brother in the terror attacks.
“I am incensed that a terrorist excuser is now Mayor, and outspoken sympathizer for terrorist perpetrators,” the comment said.
“He is disqualified from attending the 9/11 remembrance ceremony and ought to be barred.”
While the Hollywood actress was born in Ohio and has called Los Angeles and Nashville home, she had a stint living in New York City in the 1980s — and happened to be in the Big Apple on Sept. 11, 2001.
She also played a Long Island native, “Debra Barone,” in her role on “Everybody Love Raymond” — and has long championed traditional values.
“I happened to be in New York City on September 11, 2001 with the cast of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond.’ It was a terrifying experience,” Heaton wrote on X on Sept. 11, 2024, alongside a video commemorating the annual remembrance.
“It’s hard to believe now that Israel is experiencing the same horrors,” she said referencing the heinous Hamas attacks on Oct. 7, 2023, that slaughtered roughly 1,200 Israelis.
“It needs to end.”
In the two-minute video, Heaton likened the Palestinian terror group to members of al-Qaeda who murdered 2,753 when they hijacked airplanes and steered them into the World Trade Center.
“It’s 9/11 again and here we are. The same terrorists are back in full force, this time going after Israel, but really they’re going after all of us,” she said.
Heaton added that “anyone who calls for Israel to lay down its arms, you are supporting the same people who took down the Twin Towers.”
The petition, which was launched last week, brands the Israel-hating mayor as an apologist for Islamic terror whose presence would be an insult to the memories of thousands killed murdered in the World Trade Center.
Giovanni Galante, 55, spearheaded the petition demanding the socialist Democrat stay away from Ground Zero during the 25th anniversary on Sept. 11, 2026.
Galante lost his wife, Grace, on 9/11, The Post reported.
The widow cited several reasons for his concern in the petition — including Mamdani’s reluctance to condemn the phrase “globalize the intifada” and his associations with individuals like his chief counsel, Ramzi Kassem, who previously represented an al-Qaeda tanker bombing pilot by the name of Ahmed al-Darbi.
Hizzoner swatted away the concerns Monday confirming that he plans to “proudly honor” those impacted by 9/11 by “standing alongside them” in September.
