Every Time Blue Ivy, Rumi Carter Stole the Show on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter Tour
Blue Ivy Carter and Rumi Carter are indeed legends in the making.
The sister duo stopped the world when they joined their superstar mom Beyoncé on the Cowboy Carter World Tour earlier this year. From Blue Ivy slaying the "Deja Vu" choreography to Rumi’s bold onstage antics, they’ve already created iconic moments—and they’re not done yet.
Opening night on April 28 really set the tone for the tour being a family affair. Though fans weren’t surprised to see Blue, 13, return after touring with mom during Renaissance, they fell crazy in love when her younger sister joined her on stage while performing “Protector”.
Immediately, the 8-year-old stole the show with her ecstatic energy, choreographed movements and continuous waves to the crowd. Her excitement even rubbed off on her mom, who after the performance, told her daughter, “beautiful job,” and wrapped her in a hug.
Meanwhile, grandma Tina Knowles sees the extraordinary impact the spotlight is having on Rumi.
“I said, ‘How do you feel when you wave and everybody screams,” Tina, 71, revealed during a May 19 stop on her Matriarch book tour in New York. “She said, ‘It feels powerful.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I see what you mean.’”

While Rumi has really high energy and focuses on the crowd, her older sister is tasked with keeping everything on track. Whether it’s giving knowing looks or grabbing Rumi’s hand to lead her off stage, the Mufasa: The Lion King star always makes sure her sister hits her marks on stage.
And Blue’s managerial duties have not gone unnoticed. In fact, at the May 4 show, when Blue saw a fan holding a “We Love U Manager Blue” sign, the teen gave a nod of approval and a thumbs up before walking down the edge of the stage.

And they already know the show must go on even in the event of mishaps. At the May 15 show in Chicago, Blue Ivy diverted a wardrobe malfunction by quickly unclasping her earring when it got caught on Beyoncé’s hair. When the Grammy winner looked back, her daughter gave the signal that everything had been taken care of, naturally.
And later, on May 17, Rumi became her own protector when she swiftly moved Blue’s braids out of her face in the middle of choreography.

Of course, they aren’t the only Carters enjoying the limelight. On June 12, during their London stop, fans got in formation when Queen Bey requested the crowd to say happy birthday to Rumi and her twin brother Sir Carter.
