Police responded to a disturbance at the ranch-style home on Laurelwood Lane shortly after 6:30am, Sgt. Lizbeth Gwisdalla said.

When officers arrived and entered the Demaros’ home, they found Anthony with cuts to his arms, she continued.

Cops then went into the couple’s garage, where they discovered Debora’s body. She had apparently been stabbed to death. Anthony was taken to hospital.

Property records show the Demaros had lived in their modest $800,000 home on a leafy Orange County street for 26 years.

Gwisdalla would not share any information about Anthony’s alleged motive. Although the couple lived together, Gwisdalla said they were estranged.

Anthony is being held in the Orange County Intake Release Center in Santa Ana on $1 million bail. He is due in court Wednesday.
