The Los Angeles Rams, as we head into the second wave of free agency, are again poised to be Super Bowl contenders.
With the franchise again going all out in free agency, adding two star corners in Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie, the Rams are ready for another tilt at the Super Bowl.
The roster is well-rounded, and it is hard to find a glaring weakness in the roster for Sean McVay.
But ESPN's Bill Barnwell has found one, and it might be the worst possible news for Rams fans.
"The only position that would really scare me right now if I were the Rams is at quarterback, which is weird to say given that the reigning league MVP will be returning (after his usual contract renegotiation) in 2026," Barnwell wrote. "Matthew Stafford was healthy and wildly productive last season, but you might remember that the Rams starter's status for Week 1 was uncertain all summer as he battled back issues."

Are Rams in trouble at QB?
Well, Barnwell is right, to an extent.
But you could make the case that every other NFL team is in trouble if their starting quarterback goes down injured.
So, the Rams aren't different in that aspect.
With Jimmy Garoppolo potentially being re-signed, you will be hard-pressed to find a better backup than him. After all, he's been on McVay's system for a while now, and he knows it inside and out.
If Stafford did go down, my bet would be Jimmy G stepping in.
So yes, Stafford's injury issues last offseason were a cause for concern, but right now? L.A. appears to be in a good position at quarterback.
