Erling Haaland is ready for something new...a new look, that is.
The Norwegian footballer captivated fans during his World Cup debut with his skills on the field, but his long blond locks were a staple in finding him. Now, Haaland has decided to cut off his hair hours before his Manchester City opener on Sunday, Aug. 23.
Haaland shared a couple of photos and even a video on YouTube to show how his new look came about.
The footballer's longtime girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, was seen in the video commenting, “I think I will cry” before his hair was cut and then saying "Oh my God” a couple more times.
However, when it was all said and done, Haugseng Johansen approved of the look, saying, "It looks nice. You look cute.”

Haaland and Haugseng Johansen have been dating for about five years. The couple met when they were children and went public with their relationship in 2021. The pair welcomed their first child, a son, in December 2024.
The footballer's post-World Cup experience still has soccer fans tuned in for his off-the-field antics. He shared that he met NBA icon Michael Jordan over the summer.
"No caption needed," Haaland captioned the post.
He also celebrated his 26th birthday in St. Tropez, attended his teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma's wedding in Italy, and sat in the front row of Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Sartoria menswear show in Taormina, Sicily, with Haugseng Johansen.
