What Erin Andrews Texted Taylor Swift About Her Risqué Life of a Showgirl Photos
There’s one thing Erin Andrews would have done differently on her road to motherhood.
After a years-long infertility journey, the Fox Sports reporter welcomed her son Mack, 2, via surrogate with husband Jarret Stoll in June 2023—but looking back, she expressed regret for not having started family planning sooner.
“If I had known about freezing eggs and doing IVF in my 20s, I would have done it,” she told Today.com in an interview published Sept. 16. “But it wasn’t talked about as much as it is now, and I think that’s why I’m so open and honest about it.”
While the 47-year-old began freezing her eggs at age 35, she continued to struggle conceiving, adding that her cervical cancer diagnosis in September 2016 “didn’t help.”
“I went for a regular, annual appointment with my gynecologist, didn’t think anything was wrong, didn’t have symptoms, was just going because it was time,” she recalled. “And I got a call back that I had cervical cancer.”
While the sportscaster was deemed cancer-free that November, her fertility struggles continued, ultimately leading her to explore surrogacy. As such, she regularly encourages women to start planning for their futures sooner rather than later.
“Young girls that are interested in my profession always ask me, ‘What would you recommend?’” she continued. “I’m like, ‘Freeze your eggs. Freeze your eggs so you don’t have to worry about it.’”

And as Erin told E! News earlier this month, she is just as adamant about taking proactive health steps with her loved ones.
“I'm neurotic,” she admitted at the time. “I tell my friends, ‘Go get that looked at. I've got a doctor for you. Go get that tested.’”
After all, going for regular checkups was a major factor in helping Erin survive her cancer diagnosis.
“Because I had been so good, I went the year before, I hadn't missed visits,” she explained, “we caught it early, we were able to treat it and I was able to move on.”
