Rebecca Gayheart is reminiscing on her life with husband Eric Dane, two days after the actor tragically died.
The actress posted a series of images to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, showcasing her life with Dane, who passed away on Thursday at age 53 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and their daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14.
One shot featured the foursome celebrating Dane’s birthday as he blew out candles on a cake.
Follow up pictures included a throwback shot of Dane smiling as he laid on the bed with his daughters, going tubing with the girls, and enjoying an ice cream outing alongside Gayheart, 54.
Several other photos shared saw Dane with Billie and Georgia throughout their lives. One snap in particular was an image of Dane and a pregnant Gayheart at a pumpkin patch with Georgia.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum also posted a link to a GoFundMe set up by friends.
Gayheart simply wrote, “Thank you to everyone.”

The GoFundMe account states that the beloved star left “behind his devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”
“Following his diagnosis, even as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease,” they continued.
“As his illness progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined, Eric’s friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs.“
Dane and Gayheart, meanwhile, wed in 2004 and after 13 years of marriage, the “Jawbreaker” star filed for divorce in 2018.
Last March, however, the former flames called off their divorce after seven years of separation. One month later, the “Euphoria” actor went public with his ALS diagnosis.
Over the past ten months, both Gayheart and Dane have opened up about their “complicated” relationship.
In a Dec. 29 essay for the Cut, titled “In Sickness and in Health,” Gayheart shared that Dane “made it very clear that he wants to spend time with his family as much as possible, and I am committed to facilitating that.”
She said she wanted to “do my best to do right by him. And I know he would do the same for me.”
“So whatever I can do or however I can show up to make this journey better for him or easier for him, I want to do that,” Gayheart told readers at the time. “And I want to model that for my girls: ‘That’s what you do. That’s the right thing to do.’”
“This year, the girls and I have spent a lot of time at Eric’s house, which is about a 12-minute drive away from our home,” she reflected. “We have a lot of meals together. We do a lot of drop-by visits — well, I don’t just drop by. I always call and say, ‘I’m coming up the hill’ or ‘I’m dropping Georgia off.’”
Additionally, Gayheart stepped in for Dane’s “24/7 nurses” during “times that shifts aren’t covered.”
The “Urban Legend” star also explained that her and Dane have “a very complicated relationship, one that’s confusing for people. Our love may not be romantic, but it’s a familial love.”
Gayheart also clarified that she and Dane “haven’t lived in the same home for eight years.”
She noted that “he’s dated other people, [and she has] dated someone,” referring to her 78-year-old billionaire boyfriend Peter Morton, since filing.
In June, Dane got candid about his bond with Gayheart, telling Diane Sawyer that they speak daily.
“We have managed to become better friends and better parents,” he reflected. “And she is probably my biggest champion, my most stalwart supporter, and I lean on her.”
