At the 2025 Emmy Awards, Severance star Adam Scott exclusively told Live From E!: 2025 Emmys how his and wife Naomi Scott’s kids Graham, 18, and Frankie, 16, keep him down to earth.
Emmys 2025: Severance's Adam Scott Reveals How His Kids Keep Him Humble
Adam Scott’s outie has kids that keep him humble.
Although the Severance actor has starred in beloved TV shows like Parks & Recreation and Party Down, his son Graham, 18, and daughter Frankie, 6—whom he shares with wife Naomi Scott—had not seen any of his work until his Apple TV+ series.
“Finally, I'm getting them to watch something I'm in,” Adam told Live From E!: 2025 Emmys host Zuri Hall on the red carpet of the 2025 Emmy Awards, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze Sept. 14. “They actually watch it and they actually enjoy it.”
He cheekily added, “It's great. I can't count them as fans, but I can at least count them as viewers. It still counts.”
But while Adam—who is nominated as a performer for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and as an executive producer for Outstanding Drama Series at the ceremony—is grateful for his kids viewership, he’s a bit dumbfounded by their lack of fandom.
“They've seen The Office [and] Brooklyn Nine Nine,” he continued. “They just haven't watched my show because I'm in it.”
On his children’s ability to keep him humble, he added, “That’s what they’re there for.”
In addition to Adam’s kids falling in love with the show, the Television Academy also became enamored with the second season, awarding the series 23 total nominations, including for fellow actors Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman and Patricia Arquette. But Adam admitted that the audience’s reaction to the show is never guaranteed.

“When we make the show, we're just trying to make the best show we can,” he explained. “It's a really tough show to make, but that's why we like it.”
“We have no idea if people will like it or if it will work,” Adam continued. “The fact that all of this happens and people watch it and enjoy it, it's just incredible. It's just like icing on the cake.”
