Emma Watson Reveals Real Meaning Behind Diamond Ring Amid Engagement Rumors
Emma Watson may have Gonzalo Hevia Baillères spellbound.
The Harry Potter alum and the billionaire businessman summoned romance rumors when they were spotted kissing at an airport in his native Mexico on March 4.
While waiting in line at security, Emma—donning a red baseball cap, floral skirt, gray top and backpack—had her hands placed on Gonzalo's neck as the pair shared a sweet kiss.
Meanwhile, the entrepreneur—wearing a blue jacket, black pants, and gray sneakers—held a duffel bag in one hand while his other hand cupped the actress's cheek. Emma, 35, and Gonzalo, 28, also grabbed coffee as they waited for their flight.
E! News has reached out to reps for Emma for comment and not yet heard back.
And dare we say their trip seemed magical, with the pair enjoying dinner in Mexico City and a vacation in the quaint peninsula of Punta Mita.
So, who is Gonzalo? Accio, details! The businessman's family founded one of the largest conglomerates in Latin America Grupo BAL, according to the company's website. The group—whose current chairman is Gonzalo's uncle Alejandro Baillères—is involved in several sectors, including trade, insurance, agriculture, retail, and health.
Meanwhile, Gonzalo is the founder and CEO of Los, a tech company that's focused on artificial intelligence. He also works with tech delivery company Chazki and Coca-Cola Femsa.
While he and Emma—who was most recently linked to her fellow Oxford classmate Kieran Brown in July 2024—were photographed kissing ahead of their trip, they were first seen together in the French Alps in December, according to photos obtained by Quién at the time.

Although the Beauty and the Beast actress has stressed that finding her Prince Charming hadn't been easy.
"Dating apps are not on the cards for me," she told British Vogue in 2022. "I'm very lucky in the sense that because I went to university and because I've done these other things outside of film, my friends are really good at setting me up."
While Emma may not have had the most magical dating experience, she has been grateful to develop friendships with past romantic interests.
"What's really nice is some of my best friends are people I got set up on a date with and it didn't work out," she revealed. "It really is possible. And it's actually great."

Along with being a successful businessman, Gonzalo's family has built major wealth thanks to his grandparents Teresa Gual and Alberto Baillères founding the mining company, Industrias Penoles.
They also went on to found the Grupo Bal—whose current chairman is Gonzalo's uncle Alejandro Baillères—which is involved in several sectors, including trade, insurance, agriculture, retail, and health, according to the conglomerate's website.
