Emma Watson has been sporting some new diamond jewelry on a particular finger recently, fueling speculation that the actress might be making a quiet statement about her relationship status.
Though fans believe Watson to be single, she stepped out during Paris Fashion Week with a stunning diamond cluster ring on her left ring finger.
Watson, 35, sat in the front row of the Miu Miu show, wearing a pink silk mini dress and short brown suede coat, with the ring on full display.
She wore a few small rings and a bracelet on her right hand and wore statement earrings with oversized chandeliers dangling from each lobe.
The ring in question features a center round-cut diamond with a cluster of baguette cuts fanning out from the center — 22 baguettes, to be precise (more on that below). It appears to be set on a yellow or rose gold shank, though a quick zoom-in reveals that she paired it with a clean yellow gold band on that same finger. The designer of the dazzling piece has yet to be confirmed.
Just last month, Watson attended the Venice Film Festival, also wearing the ring in question. At the time, however, she chose to wear it on her right hand, which tempered engagement rumors.
Between the two appearances, Watson sat down with Jay Shetty on his podcast ‘On Purpose,’ for an episode titled, “The truth behind why I walked away from fame.”
She discusses her mental health and well-being, early successes and a constant yearning for authenticity.
Addressing the subject of marriage, Watson shared that she felt women are “being pressured” into it, adding, “I’m just so happy not to be divorced yet. That sounds like a really negative answer… I might never be worthy of it. I hope it happens to me, but I don’t feel entitled to it.”
Touching upon the ring in question, Watson shared, “I did a ritual with, or I guess just a day of celebrating, with my friends and chosen family and they each bought me this ring, which has 22 petals on it and each of them bought one.”
The 35-year-old has been vocal about how much building her own community of her people has meant to her, leading to her sentiment that “I’ve just never owned anything so valuable in my life because to me it represents the life that I’ve built, which was the one that I really wanted. One that was made up of community and my roots and faith and trust.”
While Watson isn’t planning to reveal her relationship status, whatever it might be, with the public anytime soon, she squashed those engagement rumors with one of the most poetic symbols of friendship and community we’ve ever heard.
And that’s something we’re happy to celebrate. Always.
