The Eidolon Rod is beneath a trapdoor in The Sanctum, which is the last area in the Cultist Lair. You must be Level 350 or above to purchase the fishing rod after unlocking both The Sanctum's gate and the trapdoor.

The Sanctum's main gate can be opened after you create the Dreamer's Amulet by utilizing Amulet Fragments. Such fragments are rewards for finishing different quests in the Cultist Lair.

Five different Amulet Fragments are required to unlock The Sanctum. To get them, complete the following quests:

  • Maelira’s Amulet Fragment: Submit the Tetra, Slickhead, Loach, Dragonfish, and Sinocyclocheilus fishes requested by Maelira.
  • Eldran’s Amulet Fragment: Find the three Cultist Markings on Terrapin Island.
  • Kareth’s Amulet Fragment: Cleanse all the corrupt books in the Hall of Whispers. When a book is corrupted, a hand symbol will replace the cursor.
  • Sythra’s Amulet Fragment: Re-ignite all 10 lanterns in the Cultist Lair.
  • Varn’s Amulet Fragment: Find each of the Leviathan letter notes.

Take all the Amulet Fragments to the Amulet NPC at the end of the elevator hall in the lair. Then, interact with the character to craft the Dreamer's Amulet.

After unlocking The Sanctum's gate, you will need to find 15 Obelisks to open the trapdoor containing the Eidolon Rod. These obelisks are all over the Cultist Lair.
