While Edwin Diaz's future with the New York Mets hangs in the balance, the reliever and his wife, Nashaly, turned heads at the MLB Awards Night. The event took place on Wednesday at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (3708 Las Vegas Blvd S., Las Vegas, NV 89109).

Diaz posted several photos from the event, including a repost where he poses alongside Nashaly, Boston Red Sox legend Pedro Martinez, and his wife Carolina.

For the event, Carolina wore a deep reddish-maroon long-sleeved top, and Martinez was in a formal suit of dark brown over a crisp white dress shirt. He is also wearing a classic black bow tie. Meanwhile, Diaz wore a suit jacket over a collared shirt and Nashaly is in a metallic brown gown.

"Latinos in the house," Martinez wrote.

At the event, Diaz was also asked questions by reporters, one of which included his future with the Mets. Answering if he would return to the Mets on a new deal, the reliever said:

"50-50."

The uncertainty regarding his future arises after Edwin Diaz opted out of his contract with the Mets, which still had roughly $38 million over those two years remaining. The Mets have extended him a $22.025 qualifying offer so that they at least can get a compensatory draft pick if Diaz chooses to sign elsewhere.

Edwin Diaz poses with family on Father's Day

Edwin Diaz and Nashaly share three sons: Jahel Díaz, born in July 2016, Sebastián Díaz (in August 2021) and Lucas José Díaz (in May 2024).

All three of them, alongside their parents, posed near a parking lot outside of Mets' facility on Father's Day. Diaz is holding the youngest son while the other two sons give their best with the poses. Nashaly was in a red top over blue denim and black sunglasses.

"Father’s day🙏🏾❤️❤️" the post was captioned.

It remains to be seen where Diaz and family will head next after the closer's latest free agency decision.
