The Buffalo Bills were rolling in the first half Sunday in Carolina against the Panthers.
They got one bit of bad news late in the half, though.
Star defensive tackle Ed Oliver was ruled out with a biceps injury.
There was no questionable period or anything. Buffalo examined Oliver and quickly ruled him out.
It's a big loss, especially against a Panthers team that has a strong running game to use to try to mount a comeback.
Oliver is the Bills' veteran on the defensive interior among a lot of youth.

There is one silver lining for Buffalo on this, though. That'd be Larry Ogunjobi.
Ogunjobi was making his season debut Sunday after being suspended for six games (and then Buffalo having its bye in Week 7).
The big DT Ogunjobi is an NFL veteran who has been there and done that. He likely didn't plan to play a ton on Sunday.
But with Oliver on the sideline, Ogunjobi will see more time, along with big T.J. Sanders.
It may not matter this week, but the Bills will want Oliver back soon. They play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9 in a game that will be highly anticipated.
