The Milwaukee Bucks have had one of the most interesting offseasons of any team.
After stretching and waiving Damian Lillard to make room for Myles Turner to sign, the Bucks have been looking for some cheap help to bolster their depth. Along with needing some key depth, the Bucks could still use some starter-quality players.
Of course, with Milwaukee’s financial situation, making any big swings is a difficult proposition, especially considering the Bucks also lack juicy assets. Outside of trading Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks can’t really make anything huge happen this summer.
However, there is still plenty of time for Milwaukee to pick up some key free agents still left on the market. One of the most interesting names still available is Chris Paul.
Coming off an 82-game season with the San Antonio Spurs and effectively announcing he would retire after next season, Paul is hoping to have one last ride with a contending team. The lone stain on Paul’s resume is his lack of a championship, and maybe there’s a chance he could get closer by playing with Antetokounmpo.
In a recent Bleacher Report article, Greg Swartz wrote that the Bucks are the best landing spot for Paul, which makes sense considering his other potential suitors. Paul might be able to start in Milwaukee, which has reportedly caused some delays in his decision.
While Paul wants to start, he has been adamant about being closer to his family in Los Angeles, with the Clippers and Suns being on his radar. With this being his final season, perhaps one last year away from his family to start and compete for a title could be worth it.
