While the Philadelphia Eagles offense hasn't gotten off to the hottest start this season, they have certainly had some bright spots. One of those is the emergence of Dontayvion Wicks, who was brought in during the offseason and has, in some parts, filled the role left by A.J. Brown.
In his opening four games this season, Wicks has gone for 197 yards, with an average of 16.4 yards per reception, which puts him at the highest rate on the Eagles, with his total yardage only trailing perennial mainstay DeVonta Smith. But with Smith on the injury report at the moment, it would be believed that Wicks could see a larger role, in the event of his teammate's absence.
But now it appears that could be in question.
Wicks lands on the injury report
Dontayvion Wicks was added to the #Eagles injury report with a hamstring injury. He was limited at practice, which suggests it happened today.
— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) October 8, 2026As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane, Wicks was put on the Eagles' injury report on Wednesday afternoon due to a reported hamstring injury.
It's not known how the injury occurred or what the severity of it is, but what is known is that this raises quite the issue for Sean Mannion and Nick Sirianni ahead of their overseas match against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
When looking at their receiving corps, Wicks now joins the aforementioned Smith, as well as Marquise Brown, on the injury report, with the trio's game status for Sunday not being known at this time.
Granted, it does allow the likes of rookie receiver Makai Lemon to get some serious reps in, as well as letting Darius Cooper receive some more targets, with his two touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams being arguably the only positive thing to note in that match from an Eagles' perspective.
The Eagles take on the Jaguars on Sunday morning, with kick-off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London at 9:30 a.m. EST.
