Eagles star brutally snubbed by ridiculous NFL wide receiver top-10 rankings

No matter how much success the Philadelphia Eagles continue to have, the NFL and those around it still find ways to disrespect the best team in the league.

Just the other day it was Jalen Hurts barely cracking a top-10 list from ESPN ranking the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

However, the lack of trust in the Eagles goes beyond their star quarterback, and in another top-10 ranking of wide receivers there was some love shown to A.J. Brown, but there was a noticeable absence when it came to the team's second option Devonta Smith.

A.J. Brown comes in at #5 overall.

ESPN did a follow up to its quarterback list with the 10 best NFL wideouts, which was voted on by coaches, general managers and other league executives, however, Smith wasn't even an honorable mention and instead fell into the "also receiving votes" category.

While Smith obviously isn't the focal point of the Eagles offense, his value is incredible when it comes to what Philadelphia does, especially with his quick burst off the line of scrimmage and the separation he can create.

Last season, despite only catching 68 passes Smith racked up over 800 yards and added eight touchdowns, which was more than receiving TDs than Malik Nabers, Garrett Wilson and Nico Collins.

All three of those other receivers managed to make the top 10 of the rankings, but despite the disrespect towards Smith the Eagles can hold their heads high with their Super Bowl title.
