One of the Philadelphia Eagles' potential top free agent targets didn't even make it to free agency.
On Monday morning, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Montaric Brown to a new contract, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The deal is a three-year, $33 million contract to keep Brown with the Jags.
Last week, ESPN's Dan Graziano predicted that the Eagles would sign Brown in free agency, and that it would cost $30 million total across a three-year contract.
He got the cost mostly right, but the Eagles end up missing out on the player himself.
"A surprisingly buzzy name at last week's combine, the 26-year-old Brown should draw interest from multiple teams," Graziano wrote. "He pulled in two interceptions last season in Jacksonville. And he should land a strong deal from a team looking for CB help but unwilling or unable to spend in the Riq Woolen/Jaylen Watson/Jamel Dean end of the market."

Turns out the team landing Brown was the one that already had him.
Brown was a seventh-round pick and has turned into a gem for Jacksonville. Now, he gets a payday that he never may have imagined.
Cornerback is such a crucial position in the modern NFL, and no matter what the Jaguars want to do with Travis Hunter, it's crucial to keep a guy like Brown around, too.
As for the Eagles, there's work to be done. Free agency will give them plenty of other corners to pair with Quinyon Mitchell. They just won't end up with Brown.
