The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-6 following a tough Sunday Night Football loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 8. They now sit in last place in the NFC East and currently have the No. 5 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
With all of the issues with the team right now, including Jalen Hurts' season-ending blood clot issue and Lane Johnson's retirement, the Eagles' season is effectively over. That means a lot of change could be coming for the Eagles in the very near future.
NBC Sports Philadelphia insider Ryan Fowler shared a very interesting update from an NFL source that teased the Eagles could have some major changes made by their Week 10 bye.
Eagles might make major changes by Week 10 bye.
"Text from a league source: 'This [Eagles] team is going to look very different come the bye... it's a loss that loses people their jobs,'" Fowler shared. "'They just got their a** kicked back to back weeks in primetime, there will be changes.'"
This Eagles' team is looking very likely to undergo some changes over the next week and a half. With the NFL trade deadline eight days away, and the Eagles sitting at 2-6, they could act as major sellers.
Moro Ojomo, Tariq Woolen, Dallas Goedert, Zach Baun, Hollywood Brown, Nolan Smith Jr., and a few others might be readily available for trade, and Howie Roseman is not likely to sit still at the deadline.
The Eagles' Week 10 bye is a good point to make some major changes to the team, with their bye coming the same week as the trade deadline, and more than halfway through the regular season.

Coaching changes could happen by then, and the big one is whether Nick Sirianni lasts through the deadline or not.
If his Eagles team loses to the New York Giants in Week 9 after losing to the Commanders and Dallas Cowboys the previous two weeks, he might lose his job.
Sean Mannion might not remain the play caller for long either, as his offense has severely underperformed, even with Tanner McKee in there with a lot of other backups.
While the changes to the team aren't yet known, and there is still a chance they don't make such major changes, Eagles fans should keep a very close eye on any rumors coming out this next week, as their favorite team might look very different after the bye week.
