Eagles' Cooper DeJean has simple 3-word response after Kay Adams name dropped him on Kentucky Derby red carpet

Philadelphia Eagles star Cooper DeJean got a surprising invite from Kay Adams on the Kentucky Derby red carpet on Saturday. 

The NFL player, 22, seemed caught off guard when a reporter told him the NFL Network personality, 39, wanted a night on the town with him. 

Before the #18 horse Sovereignty won the 151st Derby, a video posted to X captured a reporter telling DeJean, "Someone said they want to hang out with you." 

"Me," DeJean replied, in a surprising tone. "Who said that? Kay Adams?" he added. 

The reporter replied, "Yeah, she said she's willing to party." 

The Eagles' cornerback took a second to reply to the comment, but eventually gave a three-word reply, saying, "Alright, I'm down!" 

Who is Cooper DeJean dating?

If DeJean did wind up partying with Adams at the Derby, it was likely platonic, as he already has a girlfriend.

The NFL player has reportedly been dating Steph Wilfawn since April 2024. 

Wilfawn was spotted at several Eagles games during his first NFL season. She posted a photo to Instagram at Super Bowl LIX in February 2025 supporting her boyfriend, with his number 33 on the back of a black shirt. 

She captioned the post, "This past week has been nothing short of amazing. The Lord has definitely blessed us! I love you, Philly!"

The couple studies together at the University of Iowa.
