Dyson Daniels and the Atlanta Hawks ave agree to a long-term extension.
The Australian was a revelation for the Hawks last season after being traded by the New Orleans Pelicans, earning First Team All-Defense honours, finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting, and winning the Most Improved Player of the Year award.
The deal marks a significant raise for Daniels and reaffirms Atlanta's' commitment to him as one of the faces of the franchise alongside All-Star guard Trae Young.

As reported by ESPN's Shams Charania, Daniels and the Hawks reached an agreement on a four-year, $100 million rookie contract extension that will take him through the 2029-30 season.
The new contract has an average annual value of $25 million, and though the specific yearly terms have not yet been disclosed, according ESPN's Bobby Marks the deal projects to start at $22.3 million in 2026-27, rising each year from there.
Daniels entered this season in the final year of his four-year, $25 million rookie contract signed with the New Orleans Pelicans, who drafted him with the No. 8 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Last season, Daniels averaged 14.1 points over 76 games, increasing his scoring production from 5.8 points per game the season prior in New Orleans.
His 3.0 steals per game made him the first player to average 3.0 steals since Alvin Robertson in 1990-91. His 229 total steals is the most in a single season, in Hawks franchise history and the most by any player since 1996 Defensive Player of the Year Gary Payton (231).
After his Most Improved Player of the Year campaign, the Aussie has his sights set on another leap this season.
"I really believe I could win this award again. I've got so much more left in me," Daniels said.
Next year, it's all about taking that next step and setting new goals. I want to be an All-Star in this league, and I want to be a championship player."
