Dylan Harper can create incredible NBA history for Spurs next season

The Spurs struck big in the 2025 lottery, getting the rights to the second overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

They're projected to be a lot better than a team selecting so early in the draft, and could make some history in the process of being a top team in the West next season.

What NBA history could happen in 2025-26?

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle won ROTY in their respective rookie seasons over the last couple of years.

In NBA history, a team has never had back-to-back-to-back ROTY recipients.

There's a chance that it can change this upcoming season.

Harper will have some tough competition to face in the award race, with a generational prospect, Cooper Flagg, projected to lead the way.

Having three years in a row of ROTYs is something that would likely stand for quite some time and seems almost impossible to beat.

I'm sure San Antonio would be thrilled to see Harper win ROTY because it would mean the Spurs could be way closer to the mountain top than they thought.
