Drake’s Super Bowl prediction wasn’t the richest flex.

The “Nice for What” rapper placed a $1 million bet on New England Patriots defeating the Seattle Seahawks during the big game on Feb. 8, and things didn’t work out in his favor.

A day before the Seahawks dominated the Patriots in a crushing 29-13 match at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., Drake publicly put it all on the line.

In a Feb. 7 Instagram post, alongside a screenshot of his official Moneyline bet of $1million—and the $2,950,000.00 come up prize—writing, “Bet against me if you dare @stake.”

Siding with the Grammy winner was Mark Wahlberg—who is a lifelong Patriots fan—echoed his sentiments in the comments writing, “SMART MAN.” Another user put his confidence in the rapper as the Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, shares his name writing, “Ah, now I understand as one of the players is name DRAKE! Let’s goooo.”

Still, others couldn’t help but point out Drake’s history of jinxing teams and losing big after going public with his bets.

“Drake curse,” one user wrote in the comments, as another added, “Bro already lost the fight before the battle starts.”

Drake was absent among the host of celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton—who fueled romance rumors—Cardi B, Alix Earle and more who attended the big game and had a front row seat to the Seahawks success. (Alix, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and more also made cameos during Bad Bunny’s Halftime performance.)

Indeed, while the “Hotline Bling” rapper didn’t cashout on any winnings, the Seahawks celebrated their victory as they marked the first time taking home the Lombardi Trophy since 2014. Not to mention making Sam Darnold the first quarterback in the star-studded 2018 draft class—which included Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson—to win the big game.

"Just everything that's happened in my career but to do it with this team, I wouldn't want it any other way," Sam said in a post-game interview. "I'm so proud of our guys."

After eight seasons spent on various teams before landing in Seattle, Sam is grateful for the moments that led him to the biggest victory of his career.

"All of teammates, all my coaches I've ever had, always believing in me," he added. "I've always believed in myself because of my family and my friends. It's as simple as that."
