"I want to show the side of me that no one has seen through my music," says the influencer-turned-singer.

Known on social media as Domelipa, the Mexican influencer-turned singer has decided to leave behind the part of her life that made her famous to pave the way for her music career under the name Dome. With this transition comes her debut album La Del Arroba, a 14-track set that ranges from Latin pop to electronic music and urban sounds.
“I want people to know more about me. I want to show the side of me that no one has seen through my music,” the 25-year-old singer says in an interview with Billboard Español. “The album talks about personal things with lyrics that go from nostalgic to joyful.”
Released on Thursday night (Sept. 24) under Lipa Music and distributed by Sony Music Latin, La Del Arroba features several collaborations. These include “@Ese Vato” with Ozuna, produced by Ovy On The Drums, which was released last July as the lead single. There’s also “@Bomba de Humo” with Corina Smith, “@Ojitos” with 3AM, “@Audemars” with Omar Montes and “@Una Señal” with Bolela.
Interestingly, all track titles begin with an “@” symbol, while the lyrics reference the codes of early social media, transporting listeners back to 2010.
Dome, born in Monterrey, Mexico, has over 75 million followers on TikTok. She is the second most popular user in Latin America on the platform and the seventh globally, making the name change on her social media a potentially significant challenge.
“When I made the change, it was a very strange feeling. At first, I was scared,” she confesses. “But in the end, it was liberating for me because I found the right way to tell my stories through the songs.”

“@Me Afecta”
It’s the opening track of the album and one of my favorites because it deals with depression — literally not wanting to exist in a world where everything is amazing, yet you don’t feel like you belong. It speaks to how hard it is to tell your parents — who have just had a daughter — that she doesn’t want to be here. It has a bedroom-pop vibe; the kind of song for sitting in your room and crying, or simply enjoying it.

“No Busques Mi Nombre”
I love this one because it’s about meeting a new love. The title implies that you shouldn’t go looking for my name — because while you can find information about me online, it won’t truly reflect who I am or what I can tell you about myself firsthand. It’s a pop song with really beautiful harmonies.

“@Ese Vato” ft Ozuna
This one is incredible; you could call it pop-reggaeton. We had a great time making the video — Ozuna is an amazing person. As for the lyrics, it’s an uncomplicated track, something very current. It was produced by Ovy On The Drums, so it’s a sure bet. In fact, the numbers show that people really like it.

“@Bomba de Humo” ft Corina Smith
That’s the collaboration with Corina Smith, and it’s very special because it’s about girls going out to have fun. People usually say that men decide who they’ll spend the night with; however, here we’re talking about how we women also decide who we want to be with — or if we want to have a fun night out on our own.

“@Ojitos” ft 3 AM
It’s the last track on the album, and I love it because they (3AM) deliver an incredible rap verse that gives the album a different vibe. The energy these Venezuelans bring is out of this world. Musically, the track blends pop with R&B and features a very distinct urban sensibility.
