The Miami Dolphins' wide receiver room actually might be one of the worst in the NFL, if not the worst. After having Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle just a year ago, things have certainly changed in Miami.
With Malik Willis now under center, the Dolphins going out and finding a few decent wide receivers should be a priority, preferably cheap on the trade market or in the free agency pool.
In a proposal from A to Z Sports’ Craig Smith, Miami would land Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers. The Dolphins would receive Wicks and a third-round pick, while Green Bay gets a third-rounder and a fifth-round pick.
“The Miami Dolphins’ new front office has done a good job sweeping away the remnants of the prior era, and that’s meant doing away with two of their best offensive weapons in wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle,” Smith wrote.
“They’ve added veterans Tutu Atwell and Jalen Tolbert in the offseason, and while the latter finally gets them someone with decent size and production in the wide receiver room, the ceiling isn’t high for either,” Smith added.
Wicks is just a fine player, but there's also reason to think that the Dolphins would be interested in him after adding multiple front office personnel and a head coach from the Packers. With Willis also coming from Green Bay, they should have some familiarity together. There will be far worse options out there.
