It has been a topsy-turvy season for the Penn State Nittany Lions, who have lost their past four games and fired head coach James Franklin along the way.

Interim coach Terry Smith and his players certainly have their work cut out for them after suffering back-to-back one-point losses to Northwestern and Iowa. The program, Smith said, is facing a "storm," but he's prepared to fight until the end.

"You've got to give your soul," Smith said. "Things aren't going our way right now, but the only way to get out of the storm is to run through the storm. And we're going to run through the storm until we get out of the storm, and we'll come out and the sun will shine on us, and we'll all be better."

So, what's next for the Nittany Lions? First, they can enjoy a much-needed week off to prepare for the remainder of this stormy season. Then, they have a date with the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
