Shohei Ohtani pretty much can't stop making baseball history.
His latest is quite special -- the Japanese superstar just broke an MLB record held by Ichiro Suzuki.
Ichiro previously held the mark for consecutive games reaching base by a player from Japan, at 43.
Ohtani has now reached base in 44 games and counting after doing so again on Friday night.

This came on Ohtani's first bobblehead night of the season, and he extended the streak with a fifth-inning single.
"I thought he was going to hit a home run tonight," manager Dave Roberts said after the game, via MLB.com. "And I think he wanted a home run tonight on his bobblehead night, but it just wasn't to be."
It was a wild night for the Dodgers, an 8-7 win over the Rangers, on a night that Ohtani was otherwise quiet.
But the thing about a streak like this is that not every night can be loud. Some nights, all you get is a walk or a single.
But Ohtani does his job atop the Dodgers lineup every game. He's supposed to get on base, and that's what he has continued to do.

Ohtani could still chase down the Dodgers' all-time on-base streak, which is held by Duke Snider, who did it in 58 games in a row.
The last time Ohtani didn't get on base was Aug. 23.
Ohtani isn't crushing it yet, just 13-for-49 with a .406 on-base percentage so far. The power will come.
If Ohtani's process keeps being good, good results will follow.
