The Los Angeles Dodgers are in their final game of the season, with game seven of the World Series tonight at 8:00 pm EST. Whether they win or lose, the team will need to keep upgrading its roster in order to keep the hope for a dynasty alive.

The Athletic’s Jim Bowden believes they have an easy target, being Chicago Cubs four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker, who he has projected to get a 10-year, $427 million deal as his next contract.

“[Tucker] would also be a great fit for the Dodgers, who could then move Teoscar Hernández to left field and improve their right field defense. Tucker won’t turn 30 until 2027, and his young age relative to the rest of this class makes him even more inviting to both clubs for the long-term as they could backload the contract to fit their budgets better with expiring contracts down the road,” Bowden wrote.

This past season, Tucker hit .266/.377/.464/.841 with 25 doubles, 22 home runs, and 73 RBI in 136 games. He would make an outfield with Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez one of the best in the National League.

Getting Tucker would also fix the Michael Conforto fiasco, which has already been floated as an idea. The Dodgers got Conforto on a one-year, $17 million contract, and he was not worth it.

Hopefully, the Dodgers get on pursuing Tucker as soon as they can, as they won’t be the only team vying for the superstar.
