Dodgers' Miguel Rojas discusses future as he hits free agency after 2025 season

The Los Angeles Dodgers are battling it out with the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS in a series that will determine which of the two teams will advance to the World Series.

After the Dodgers were able to sneak away with Game 1 after a masterclass from Blake Snell, Los Angeles will turn to Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound for Game 2 on Tuesday night.

While the current focus remains on the World Series, players nearing free agency can't help but think ahead to the offseason. Veteran utility man Miguel Rojas shared his thoughts on what he expects as he prepares to enter free agency.

Miguel Rojas hopes to re-sign with the Dodgers on a one-year deal this offseason

Miguel Rojas, 36, has served as a versatile veteran for the Dodgers over the past three seasons, providing steady production on both offense and defense. It's worth noting that his play in the postseason has been crucial in Los Angeles' success in recent years.

He's shown out whenever it's necessary, but he will be hitting free agency at the end of the 2025 season. In an interview with Doug McKain of Dodgers Nation, the utility infielder spoke on his desires moving forward.

"I’m excited to give it another chance to win another World Series and to hopefully play another year for the Dodgers," Rojas said. "This is going to be my first priority to sign with the Dodgers for one more year. I want to do that. And after that we’ll reevaluate where my career is going to do."

It's clear Rojas remains committed to the Dodgers despite his upcoming free agency. He's shown through his 2025 regular season (.262 BA, .318 OBP, seven home runs, 27 RBI) and postseason (.375 BA, .444 OBP, one RBI) that he can still be a dependable contributor who can play multiple positions on defense.

Although the offseason isn't what the Dodgers are worried about right now, it will be interesting to see where Rojas goes after this season.
