The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed right-hander Tony Gonsolin on the 15-day injured list with right elbow discomfort, per The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya.
Gonsolin, 31, is 3-2 with a 5.00 ERA in seven starts this season. He is now the 14th pitcher placed on the injured list by the Dodgers.
Roki Sasaki, Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow are all sidelined right now, making the Dodgers starting rotation very thin in the middle of the season.
Los Angeles will surely address this need by the trade deadline on July 31, but the team probably doesn’t want to wait too long to get some help.
According to Quinn Everts of FanSided, this could open the door for an obvious reunion.
Boston Red Sox right-hander and two-time All-Star Walker Buehler could be traded, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Buehler, 30, is in his first season with the Red Sox and it hasn’t gone particularly well. Buehler is 4-4 with a 5.18 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP in 10 starts this season.
However, a reunion with his former club that he won two World Series titles with could bring him back to All-Star form.
Boston is currently 30-35 and 10.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the American League East. It’s still early, but the team is trending toward selling at the deadline.
Los Angeles is currently 38-26 and hold a tight one game lead for first place in the National League West.
