DJ Moore injury update is good news for Buffalo Bills

1 hour ago 2

The Buffalo Bills had a strong game against the Detroit Lions in Week 2, with quarterback Josh Allen and the crew pulling off a 10-point win in a 41-31 victory.

Seeing the Bills on the field on Thursday, it really seemed that this offense had nothing to worry about until, however, wide receiver DJ Moore got ruled out due to a shoulder injury in the first half.

Now, more information is surfacing about the injury. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Moore has an AC joint sprain, and even though his status for the team's Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers is up in the air, it's good news overall.

DJ Moore's shoulder injury isn't considered serious

Rapoport stated on X that Moore "who was off to a fast start in Buffalo, is believed to have suffered an AC joint sprain, sources say. While it's not a serious injury, @AdamSchefter reports his status is up in the air for next week."

Schefter added that Moore "suffered a shoulder injury Thursday night that doctors do not consider serious and will leave him day to day, per source."

A source also told Schefter that "he has a chance to play next week (vs. the Chargers), but it's not a lock, either."

It's best not to rush a recovery from injury, and that's especially the case with a player a team is relying on as much as Moore. He's considered one of the biggest changes on the Bills' offense and one of the best targets for Allen. The Los Angeles Chargers aren't considered their toughest component by any means, so it's an apt time to rest him. So, don't be surprised if they hold Moore one week and make sure he's ready to take on the rest of this season.
