DJ Moore exits with shoulder injury in Bills ‘TNF’ nightmare

The Bills may have lost their top receiver on Thursday night. 

Buffalo’s D.J. Moore exited during the second quarter against the Lions after an awkward fall on an incomplete pass from quarterback Josh Allen.

Moore was later listed by the team as questionable to return to the game with a shoulder injury and stinger.

At the half, the Bills ruled him out for the game.

He was hurt while diving for a pass in the end zone with just under three minutes remaining in the half.

Moore walked off the field under his own power with trainers before heading to the locker room for X-rays.

An extended absence from Moore would be a major blow for a Bills team that was hoping he could be their No. 1 wide receiver heading into the season. 

Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick was acquired from the Bears for a 2026 second-rounder over the offseason. 

In the Bills’ opener, Moore had five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown on eight targets.

Last season, Moore caught 50 passes for 682 yards and six touchdowns.

Despite losing Moore, the Bills’ offense looked unstoppable during the first half, scoring four touchdowns and taking a 27-10 lead over the Lions into the break.
