Digimon Beatbreak anime announces October 2025 release and more with first PV

On Friday, August 1, 2025, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the Digimon Beatbreak anime unveiled the first full-length promotional video. According to the short clip, the anime is set to debut on October 5, 2025. Furthermore, the details concerning the anime's additional cast, staff, and a new visual have been revealed.

Produced by Toei Animation, the Digimon Beatbreak serves as the 10th installment in the Digimon franchise, and the first Digimon anime following the release of Digimon Ghost Game in 2023. The anime was announced in March 2024 during a Digimon Con 2025 Livestream event.

According to the first promotional video from the official staff, the Digimon Beatbreak anime will air its episodes every Sunday from 9 am JST on Fuji TV and other networks, starting October 5, 2025. Ahead of its broadcast, the anime will have its first episode screened at Digimon EXPO'25, alongside a staff roundtable discussion, at Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall.

The first Digimon Beatbreak anime trailer highlights the male protagonist Tomoro Tenma's first encounter with Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from a Sapotama. Additionally, the trailer delves into the concept of e-Pulse, which serves as the energy source for the AI supporting device called Sapotama.

Miyu Irino stars as Tomoro Tenma, a 15-year-old boy who likes to take a critical look at everything. Megumi Han voices Tomoro's Digimon partner, Gekkomon. The anime's official site describes Gekkomon as someone who is always hungry.

New cast members include Tomoyo Kurosawa as Reina Sakuya, Matsumi Tamura as Reina's partner, Pristimon, Arisa Sekine as Makoto Kuonji, Misaki Kuno as Makoto's digimon partner, Chiropmon, Yohei Azakami as Kyo Sawashiro, and Daiki Hamano as Kyo's digimon partner, Murasamemon.

Interestingly, the new key visual for the Digimon Beatbreak anime depicts the newly announced characters, along with Tomoro and Gekkomon. The key visual highlights the main cast against a captivating background.

Hiroaki Miyamoto directs the anime at Toei Animation, with Ryota Yamaguchi handling the series composition. Takahiro Kojima is listed as the character designer, while Kenji Watanabe is the Digimon designer. Ayaka Jin is the art director, while Akihiro Asunama is the animation Digimon designer.

Other cast members include Sayoko Yokoyama as the color designer, Yusuke Ozone as the CG director, Eiichi Nishimura as the editor, Tomoyuki Ishiyama as the compositing director, and Arisa Okehazama as the music composer.

According to the anime's official website, the Digimon Beatbreak anime centers on the concept of e-Pulse, which is generated by human emotions and thoughts. This e-Pulse is used as the energy source for Sapotama, an AI support device. Interestingly, this remarkable device also harbors terrifying monsters known as Digimon.

Tomoro Tenma, a 15-year-old boy, is entangled in this mysterious experience, as a Digimon named Gekkomon appears from his Sapotama. Living with Kyo Sawashiro and others from a bounty hunting team called the Golden Dawn, Tomoro's life changes, as he looks ahead at a unique future.
