Isaiah Evans could've gone back to Duke for another year.
He chose to depart the Blue Devils, though, and head for the 2026 NBA Draft.
It seemed relatively logical. Evans took a big step up in his sophomore season at Duke, and so he seemed ready for the NBA.
He isn't getting the love from the league he would've liked, though.

Did Isaiah Evans get drafted?
Evans remains undrafted through the first round of the NBA Draft.
He'll certainly get selected during the second round on Wednesday night.
But 30 picks have come and gone, and no Evans.
Why didn't Isaiah Evans get drafted in the first round?
Evans is lacking secondary skills to make him worthy of a first-round pick, at least how the teams see it.
His best skill, an NBA-ready one, is his perimeter shooting. Evans should be able to show up on day one and make outside shots.
But he's slight of frame, without big-time handle or playmaking skill.
If all he is is a shooter, that can be useful. But if he can't defend or create for others, it makes it tougher to play him big minutes.
Evans could've gone in the first round, and he probably won't hang around too long.
But for now, he's still on the board.
