Haynes King put together an epic college career at Georgia Tech.
The NFL Draft wasn't as kind to him in 2026, though.
King will have to look for a team after the seven rounds conclude.
Did Haynes King get drafted?
No, the QB from Georgia Tech didn't get drafted.
Seven rounds came and went, and he was still on the board.
King wasn't necessarily expected to get picked. He wasn't in most mock drafts.
He's a supreme athlete, but as far as passing the football goes, he's not up to the level of the guys who did get picked across the three days of the draft.
King won't have an easy journey to the professional ranks.
What's next for Haynes King?
Most likely, King will get a contract as an undrafted free agent.
At that point, he'll go to rookie minicamp with whatever team he joins. He'll try to prove he deserves a look throughout the offseason program and into training camp.
Every step of the way, King will have to impress.
Undrafted players don't often get lots of extra chances.
King made his college career a success.
He'll have to work hard to do the same in the NFL.
