Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is set to be one of the first offensive players selected during Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The generational playmaker posted a historic junior campaign in 2024 at Boise State and is the consensus top running back in the draft.
Jeanty will likely be a top-ten pick, and multiple teams will be interested in adding him to their offense. However, one franchise that has been constantly linked to the running back throughout the draft process is the Las Vegas Raiders. Pete Carroll's squad lacks talent in the running back room, and selecting Jeanty to be their workhorse would be a logical pick.
Jeanty playing for Carroll on the Raiders is a dream draft scenario, and the Heisman candidate may have just given a hint that Las Vegas will be where he is headed.
Cameras caught Jeanty's draft-day attire as he was entering the building, and the 22-year-old was seen rocking some black and silver Crocs with diamonds, which are Raiders colors.
— TSN (@TSN_Sports) April 24, 2025Obviously, Jeanty's shoes could have nothing to do with his landing spot in Thursday's draft. However, we can't just ignore it due to the potential interest the Raiders have in him and the team's desperate need for a game-changing running back. It could just be a coincidence, but we'll find out soon.
