One of the biggest questions in the NFL world currently is: why hasn't Aaron Rodgers signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers yet?
It's a fair question to ask considering Rodgers' options have dried up and the Steelers appear to be the only team in on him at the moment.
Rodgers went on "The Pat McAfee Show" last month and stated that he was still considering if he should retire or play in 2025, so it's very possible he's simply undecided between the two options.
However, a third possible reason for the waiting game may have popped up over the weekend, when Rodgers was spotted with a ring on his finger that many are speculating could be an engagement or wedding ring.
Rodgers did tell McAfee that he was focused on something going on in his personal life, and now many believe him getting hitched could be what he was talking about.
"I was honest from the jump about where I was at mentally and some of the constraints I have in my life right now that warrant my attention," he said.
"I'm open to anything and attached to nothing," Rodgers added. "Retirement could still be a possibility, but right now my focus has been -- and will continue to be -- on my personal life. And that's what I've told the coaches.
"There's still conversations that are being had. It's all been very honest lines of communication," Rodgers concluded.
As we wait on Rodgers, the Steelers find themselves in a spot no team wants to be in. Pittsburgh doesn't have a sure starter on its roster and may have to go after a lackluster option like Kirk Cousins if Rodgers doesn't sign.
Barring an unforeseen new option popping up for Pittsburgh, Rodgers is the best bet the Steelers have at the position. Without him, Pittsburgh is destined for yet another mediocre season.
