Diana Krall will release The Look of Love (25th Anniversary Edition) on November 20, marking 25 years since the album’s original release. Pre-orders are open for the reissue, which adds five bonus tracks, while “But Not For Me” is available digitally for the first time.
Diana Krall - But Not For Me (25th Anniversary Edition / Audio)
The anniversary release will be available on Deluxe CD and digitally, alongside a limited-edition One-Step vinyl pressing. The CD contains all five bonus tracks, including “I Love Being Here With You (Live From The Vault).” That performance will also be available digitally, exclusively through iTunes, giving the CD and digital editions a track that is not part of the original album.
The vinyl edition presents the original 10-track recording. It uses a specialized One-Step manufacturing process designed to preserve detail in the recording. Each pressing will be individually numbered and packaged in a gatefold tip-on jacket featuring the original album artwork, with a specially designed slipcase. The vinyl release offers the album in its original configuration, while the expanded CD includes the additional material.
Originally released in 2001, The Look of Love broadened Krall’s sound with orchestral arrangements across a collection of ballads and bossa nova standards. Tommy LiPuma produced the album, which features the London Symphony Orchestra and arrangements by composer and arranger Claus Ogerman. Those collaborators helped shape the orchestral setting that distinguished the recording.
The album subsequently won the 2002 GRAMMY Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, and received three JUNO Awards, including Album of the Year. The anniversary edition brings that recording back into focus with expanded material on CD and digital formats, while the numbered vinyl pressing revisits the original program and artwork.
