In case there were still any doubts, DeWanna Bonner's performance against the Golden State Valkyries Monday night proved she made the right decision this season.

Bonner signed to the Indiana Fever during free agency earlier this year. She played several games for the team but struggled more often than not. She stopped playing games after June 10 for "personal reasons" and the team waived her on June 25 after failing to find a suitable trade.
Bonner signe with the Mercury, the team who drafted her in 2009, in early July. She joined her partner, Alyssa Thomas, and together the pair have put on quite the performance for Mercury fans.
Monday night was no different. Bonner hit a career milestone — the fifth game in Mercury history with 20 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. On top of that, Bonner was the player who recorded the same stat the first four times, all for the Mercury, between 2009 and 2019.
Thomas also had a huge night, winning the game by 1 point with a free throw and hitting her own double-double with 17 points and 11 assists.
The Mercury will next play the Lynx in Minnesota on Wednesday.
