Devin Booker has now been in the NBA for over a decade. He has been the superstar who has carried the Phoenix Suns through the dark times all the way to the NBA Finals in 2021. Of course, they have struggled since then, but Booker has remained as one of the best shooting guards in the league.

He has continued to strengthen how people look at shooting guards, which is seen by the players he looked up to when he was younger.

Booker recalls his time playing against Wade

Over the years, most people have become familiar with how Booker looks up to Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant. While that is true, it is clear that Booker also had other idols who influenced a big part of his game.

One of those was Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, who was also a masterful shooting guard. He was mostly a slasher, but he also thrived in the mid-range like Bryant. Considering Booker is such a well-versed player, he has kept learning from his idols.

"In Miami, just flash man. Admired him growing up and going head to head with him and thought in my head, ‘I can’t believe I’m on the court with him right now,'" Booker said about his favorite moments in Miami.

Moving forward, Booker could be the iconic shooting guard who can influence more players. Booker has cemented himself as one of the best shooting guards to follow because he has a complete game, especially on offense.
