The Detroit Lions' 2024 campaign has come to an end after an ugly defeat at the hands of the Washington Commanders in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday night.
This was not the way the Lions envisioned their season going. After making it all the way to the NFC Championship Game during the 2023 season, the Lions were expected to compete for a Super Bowl in 2024.
And it looked like they were on their way to doing just that after a 15-2 season that saw them land the No. 1 seed in the conference. But it wasn't meant to be and instead the Lions are going home early.
With the season now in the books, the Lions will turn their attention to the offseason, where they have some tough decisions to make.
First things first, the Lions have to decide which pending free agents they are going to keep. In total, Detroit has 33 players who could hit the open market. Here's a look at the full list.

NFL free agency definitions
Just in case you're not familiar, here's a look at definitions for the three types of free-agent labels, according to NFL.com.
Unrestricted free agent (UFA): Any player with four or more accrued seasons and an expired contract; free to negotiate and sign with any team.
Restricted free agent (RFA): A player with three accrued seasons and an expired contract. RFAs are free to negotiate and sign with any team, but their original team can offer them one of various qualifying offers ("tenders") that come with the right of first refusal and/or draft-pick compensation. If the tender is withdrawn by a team, the RFA becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Exclusive rights free agent (ERFA): Any player with fewer than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.
