The comment from Wright came on Lifetime TV's recent post, which was a trailer of Tran's movie "Preach, Pray, Love." Captioning it with a summarized note, the account wrote:

The movie is set to release on November 8 and is a romantic drama that stars Karrueche Tran and Mark J.P. Hood as the protagonists. It explores themes of redemption and love between a pastor (Hood) and a rapper (Tran). Premiering this Saturday, the movie will be released as part of Lifetime's "Love of a Lifetime" programming event.

This is Tran's first movie of 2025, with the actress's only other work this year coming in Lena Waithe's TV series, The Chi. In her last leading role, Tran portrayed Regina Smith in the film Searching for a Serial Killer.
