Late last week, the New England Patriots made a change to their roster, waiving wide receiver Tyquan Thornton after failed trade attempts and healthy scratches.
Now, the former second-round pick has a new home, as the Kansas City Chiefs have signed him to their practice squad.
Thornton, who New England drafted in 2022 after he displayed blazing speed at the NFL Scouting Combine, caught 39 passes for 385 yards and two touchdowns in his time with the Patriots.
In Kansas City, he'll have a chance to work with Patrick Mahomes, the best quarterback in the league, and Andy Reid, the best active coach in the league, who add another fast weapon to their receiving corps that they can all up if they need him.
